
Adventurers 8 is a Year 3 class taught by Miss Robinson and supported by Miss Spence.
Welcome to Class 8! We are going to have lots of fun together and learn lots along the way.
Pick-up & drop offs-
- Please drop your child off at 8:30am and the top gate, where they will be collected by Year 3 staff. Children should be collected from the classroom door at 3.15pm.
PE
This half term we will have:
Friday- Dance with Miss Skiggs (indoor)

Reading
Please encourage your child to read 3 times a week with their reading diary signed.
Children should bring their books and diaries in on a Wednesday. They will be given back out on a Friday. Each child will have their own reading bookmark. They will receive a star on their bookmark for each week that they read three times at home. Once the bookmark is filled, the children earn a special prize from Mrs Garr.
Topics
This half term we will be focusing on:
Literacy – We will be reading the book ‘Journey’, and focusing on narrative writing.
Maths – Our focus will be place value and addition and subtraction.
Dimensions – Our theme is ‘That’s All Folks”, which explores the history of animation Through our theme, we will cover History, Computing, Science, Art and DT.
RE – Hinduism.
French – Greetings
Homework
Our main homework is reading our home reading books. It would also be great if the children could practise their times tables. Miss Robinson will keep you updated on which times tables we are focusing on via Class dojo.

– Tuesday 22nd October: KS2 Halloween disco 3:15- 4:15pm
– Wednesday 23rd October: Year 3 have a visit from The World for an animation workshop in school
– Tuesday 17th December: KS2 Christmas party 3:15-4:15pm
