In July 2025, the government published updated statutory guidance on Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE), which will become statutory from September 2026. We are reviewing our RSHE curriculum and policy to ensure it meets the revised expectations and continues to support pupils’ wellbeing, safety and healthy relationships.

While RSHE will remain statutory under the 2019 guidance until August 2026, we are preparing for the full implementation of the updated 2025 guidance to ensure a smooth transition and continuity for pupils.

Our RSHE curriculum is taught in a thoughtful, age-appropriate and sequenced way, and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure transparency and understanding of what children learn.

We follow the statutory RSHE framework as set out by the Department for Education. The government published updated RSHE statutory guidance in July 2025, which will become statutory from September 2026. We are currently reviewing and adapting our RSHE curriculum and policy in preparation for full implementation, ensuring it is age-appropriate, sequenced and responsive to pupils’ wellbeing and digital safety. We work closely with parents and carers, and materials are available on request.
