The children are learning about different religions and how people show care as they understand different religions and have respect for one another.
In our Learning Challenge this term we will be learning the difference between Passover and Lent.
Today we have been learning about Passover which is a Jewish celebration.
The children enjoyed Mazot and juice (wine).
Our RE topic this half term is Rituals and Ceremonies. As part of our lessons, we re-enacted the ritual of the Eucharist, learning why and how it occurs in Christianity. We watched a video on the Eucharist and the ceremony of the First Holy Communion. We thought of thank yous for different types of bread, which was washed down with blackcurrant juice (wine). Some of the children’s grateful thanks were: their good health, having a family, having food and being cared for.
