Year 6 took part in the Bring It On Net Zero 2021 virtual event. We became engineers and generated ideas for companies to become more environmentally friendly. Throughout the day, we listened to the career paths of many different types of companies and were inspired by the wealth of STEM opportunities there are. Our Year 6 pupils are extremely creative and inventive: we hope you like our ideas….

At lunchtime play today, the children enjoyed working together to brighten the school yards up with drawings of a range of beautiful flowers using chalks. The flowers looked so colourful and the children were very proud of their drawings.
Whilst we aren’t able to hold full school events inside due to COVID, we were thankfully still able to go outside to recognise Remembrance Day.
We heard the Last Post and stood in silence for two minutes to show our respect.






Class 3 have been learning the poem ‘Bonfire Night’ as our guided reading text. We are getting very good at reciting it as a class!
Class 3 love completing our weekly challenges when learning independently.
Class 14 have been investigating why the leaves change colour in autumn. We learned about the role of chlorophyll and other colour pigments. We then went on a leaf hunt and made artwork with different coloured leaves.


Recently, Class 14 have have been using counters to understand factors, prime numbers and square numbers in our Maths lessons. Team work is key in Year 6!




Class 4 have been learning how to use the number line in our Power Maths lessons this week. The children are working well with this tool to solve addition problems. That have learnt how to count in to add two parts together and today they learnt how to solve missing number problems.

Class 4 have been learning about the UK. The children are able to name the four countries, identify their flags and talk about physical and human features or landmarks.
