The Giving Project Update 21st July 2023

‘TO GIVE, TO HELP, TO BE KIND AND CREATE HAPPINESS’

A new project has been introduced into the school

To Give, To Help, To Be Kind and Create Happiness.

 

Contributing to the celebrations for the end of the school year, the children volunteers made beautiful thank you cards for all staff, volunteers, sports coaches and students who work in our school, to say ‘thank you’ for everything they do each day, to make the school year a great one!

The children enjoyed making the cards in their spare time and were so excited to deliver them!

The cards were very gratefully received.

‘TO GIVE, TO HELP, TO BE KIND AND CREATE HAPPINESS’

A new project has been introduced into the school

To Give, To Help, To Be Kind and Create Happiness.

The Giving Project volunteers made special ‘Tooth Fairy Door Hangers’ for all of the children in Year 1.

The children volunteers enjoyed making these little gifts so that when the children lose a tooth, they can put the door hanger on their bedroom door handle, to help the tooth fairy find their tooth under their pillow.

The gifts were greatly received by the Year 1 children and the teachers and Mrs. Bingham were very proud of the Giving Project volunteer children for being so kind.

A new project has been introduced into the school

To Give, To Help, To Be Kind and Create Happiness.

Children so kindly worked on the ‘Giving Project’ at break times, this half term, to make beautiful Easter cards, they made over 150 cards which were delivered to all staff, volunteers and students in our school, each class received one and the residents of the Sycamore Care Home in Boldon. They were all greatly received and the children should be very proud of themselves, it was very kind and thoughtful of them.

A new project has been introduced into the school

To Give, To Help, To Be Kind and Create Happiness.

 

Some children from years 4 and 5 have enjoyed working on the Giving Project this half term, making lots of red paper chain hearts, which were used to beautifully decorate the school for Valentines Day.

The children should be very proud of themselves, being so kind, by working on the project in their spare time.

‘TO GIVE, TO HELP, TO BE KIND AND CREATE HAPPINESS’

A new project has been introduced into the school

To Give, To Help, To Be Kind and Create Happiness.

 

The children working on the Giving Project have kindly volunteered their time during break times to make beautiful Christmas cards for the charity Age Concern. The lady from the charity came to collect the cards today and thanked the children for their kindness and hard work, and explained how the cards will go into Christmas Hampers and are delivered to the elderly.

The children also made beautiful tree decorations for their friends, the children had written a special Christmas wish on each decoration for their friend, helping to spread happiness at Christmas.

Finally, the children enjoyed making snowman Christmas cards for the Midday Supervisors and the kitchen staff to show their appreciation for looking after the children at lunchtimes. They were greatly received by all.

The children have been working on the ‘Giving Project’ in school, making these beautiful Easter Cards that will be distributed to the residents of the  Sycamore Care home, to let them know we are thinking of them at this special time of year.

The children have also been enjoying some beautiful cakes this term and have enjoyed these special Easter muffins today.

This Christmas, as part of the ‘Giving Project’, the children made beautiful Christmas cards to give to the residents of the Sycamore Care Home, they also hand delivered their Christmas cards to the bungalows in Don View.

The children wanted to send Christmas wishes to members of the local community, to let them know that they are thinking of them at this special time of year. They were all greatly received.

Over the last few weeks some of the children in year groups 3 to 6 have been involved with the ‘Giving Project’ to achieve the ‘Dance Together Award’.

This week the children who took part performed their dance for some of the adults in school and received their certificates!

‘TO GIVE, TO HELP, TO BE KIND AND CREATE HAPPINESS’

Some of the children in year groups 3 to 6 have been involved with the ‘Giving Project’ to achieve the ‘Dance Together Award’.

To achieve the award the children volunteered to work together as a team, shared their ideas and helped each other to create a dance routine during their playtimes.
They were very proud to perform their fabulous dances for Mrs. Garr and other school staff.
They created a lot of happiness and enjoyment for everyone who was involved.

The Giving Project Update 30th March 2021

‘TO GIVE, TO HELP, TO BE KIND AND CREATE HAPPINESS’

Over the course of the Spring 2 half term, with the return of all children on March 8th, the Giving Project has been continuing to run at full speed!

Anita, our Midday Supervisor, kindly donated her time to make Easter cards with the Year 6 children for the elderly residents of the local Sycamore Care Home. The children enjoyed decorating the cards, wishing the residents a ‘very happy Easter’ and to let them know they are thinking of them, spreading a little happiness at this happy time of year.
Another Midday Supervisor, Sara, kindly donated her time to make beautiful ‘thank you‘ cards with the Year 4 children. The cards were delivered to all staff, students and volunteers who work in our school to remind them that ‘they make a difference every day’,  and that the support and dedication they show every day is greatly appreciated by the children.
Keep checking back for more Giving Project updates. It is important to continue to be kind and spread happiness during these difficult times.
