We had a busy busy day handing out award certificates today, we had our usual star of the weeks, our golden coin winner, 100% attendance certificates, sponsored reading awards and our Easter Egg winners! It’s so good to be able to celebrate all the amazing things that your children do each and every day. We hope that you all have a fab Easter break and see you in two weeks. ![]()
To mark the end of their Easter topic, Year 6 have created some wonderful Easter artworks.
As part of Year 6’s Dimensions topic they have been discovering more about the Romans. They were fabulous craftsmen; they used their legacy to create mosaics and clay pots.

Year 3 enjoyed their final kickboxing lesson today with Mr Brown.
They have learned lots of new skills over the last six weeks including basic punches, kicks, ducks and even got involved in some pad work! They have all made such good progress in such a short space of time.
Year 3 had an exciting afternoon trying lots of different Greek foods. As part of our Dimensions topic- Athens v Sparta, we have been learning about Greece. The children have learnt about the history of Greece, food and culture. We thought it was only right to try some of these foods. So we had an enjoyable afternoon trying the different delicacies! We tried: olives, Greek yoghurt, Vine leaves, baklava, feta cheese, pita bread with tzatziki and hummus.
Class 3 enjoyed exploring the parts of a plant as part of our Science lesson. We took them apart, looked carefully at them and then reassembled them before labelling the main parts of the plant.
We have also been looking at length in our maths lesson so compared the lengths of the stem with our partner.
Year 4 have been learning all about Healthy Eating this half term. They now know about the different food groups, the correct ratios for the food groups and how to choose healthy options for themselves. This week we have moved onto careers involving food and had a visit from our school cook- Mandy. The children prepared questions such as:
-How do you choose the menu? -How do you ensure we have a healthy diet?
-What qualifications do you need to be a school cook?
-What roles are there in the kitchen?
-Do you enjoy your job?
The children listened to Mandy and received lots of information for their next task- designing a school menu.
Thank you Mandy for visiting us this week. 😊
The eco warriors in year 3 have done a great job at picking up and spotting rubbish around our school. They enjoyed cleaning up our environment whilst having fun!
The sheer joy when you solve a maths puzzle! ❤️
Class 4 had the “best fun” (so they told me) in maths today! The BIG triangle puzzle was such a fun way to practise rapid recall of number bonds for 10 and to develop team work and resilience.
Year 1 kicked off our ‘Great Big School Clean’ today. Every day our Eco-Warriors will choose friends from their class to help them keep our school grounds litter free.
