Class 9 worked well together today to build circuits as part of their science learning. They had to ensure they were complete circuits so that the bulb would light up or the sensor would buzz.
Well done Class 9!

Year 5 have had a visit from Jaswinder Singh from North East Sikh Service to share with the children thoughts on the catalyst question in RE; How do Sikhs show commitment and belonging?
The children also had an opportunity to ask questions and participate in traditional Sikh meditation together.
Well that’s another year of SATs over and we can’t say how proud we are of these group of children. Their attitude this week, this year and through their time in primary has been amazing. They are a great group of children who have matured into fabulous young adults.
We’ve got lots of fun activities lined up, starting with pizzas tomorrow afternoon. Give them all a hug, high five or words of praise when you see them as they fully deserve it!
A real credit to their families and the community.
Our gardeners found something very interesting indeed when looking for bugs today in the Secret Garden. The children have named him Jeffery and wanted you to see him, hopefully we’ll see him again next week
Children across the school enjoyed coming into school in their pyjamas on Friday to raise money for our Opal lunchtime play provision.
Take a look at all our lovely outfits!

Year 5 have thoroughly enjoyed building the goblin car ready to race at Gateshead Stadium.
The Greenpower challenge to build an electric car supports science and design technology curriculum areas.
The children were extremely enthusiastic about the project!
Well done Year 5!
As part of Year 1/2’s latest Dimensions theme Dancing Spy, the children imagined that they were spies just like Josephine Baker working for the French Resistance.
They worked together, using a secret code to crack some messages, just like they would have done in World War II!
Well done Year 1/2!
The children in the ARC had to work in teams for their Commando Joe mission today.
They had to build a shelter to protect them from a storm, making sure it was big enough for the whole team to fit in. They came up with some really inventive ideas to create their dens.
Well done!
Year 3 Gardening Club have been busy weeding the flowerbeds and planting sunflowers this week!
They’re looking forward to looking after them over the next few weeks and seeing how they grow!

We had a lovely ‘star’ of the week assembly on Friday. It was so nice to hear how all these children have been meeting the schools Gold standards. Keep it up everyone.
