Celebration Assembly 28th June 2024

28th June 2024Fiona Goodwin

We have had a lovely day with our ‘star’ of the week assembly celebrating all our stars as well as our fantastic Year 4 dancers who blew everyone away with their performance at the Custom’s House last night. It was also made even brighter by seeing so many children dressing up to celebrate diversity!

PRIDE!

On Rainbow Friday Year 3 discussed the meaning of pride. They thought about times where they have felt proud of themselves or others, and thought about why pride is important to LGBTQ+ people. They also learnt about some of the origins of the rainbow flag, including what each colour represents, before creating their own progress flags out of collage materials.

Diversity Week 2023

27th June 2023Miss K. Wilkinson

We are very proud of our inclusive culture where every child is valued and identity and individuality are celebrated. Our children thrive in an exciting environment and learn to value their own culture and beliefs while respecting those of others. As part of diversity week Mr Wilson held a special assembly; we can’t wait to see all our children wearing rainbow colours on Friday.

We have been celebrating diversity at school this week by taking part in various activities across the school to celebrate difference.
Year 1
In Year 1 the children have been thinking about how everyone they meet is different. They have created some amazing artwork which showcases how every child in Year 1 is unique and special in their own ways.

They used the brightest colours they could and worked hard to show that everyone should be proud of who they are!
